If you change either the front or rear turn signals from the regular bulbs to LED-based turn signals, the turn signal will blink faster because of the reduced load of the LEDs, compared to the regular bulbs. Install our LED turn signal resistors and the blinking will slow down to normal speed.
Install by splicing the red wire into the turn signal positive lead, and the black wire to ground. Because of the increased load that the resistor will receive, it will become hot enough to burn through wire sheathing, so be sure to wrap the resistors with something like exhaust wrap, or use a paper clip to fix the resistor to a metal surface. Use one resistor for each side. You only need one resistor for each side, even if both the front and rear turn signals are LEDs. You do not need this resistor for additional turn signals such as mirror signals, only if you are replacing the front or rear turn signal bulbs with LEDs.
The resistors are priced at US$10 per pair.
